Veteran actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has declared that Nigerians who are yet to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) are part of the problem in the country insisting that voting during elections is better than going to Church or Mosque. 

The movie star made this known via a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday.

6 Dead, 65 Injured As Windstorm Devastates Jigawa

Jigawa Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has confirmed six persons killed and 65 others by windstorm in Kafinhausa Local Government Area.

Executive Secretary of the agency, Yusuf Sani, confirmed this to Africa Daily News, New York on Thursday morning. 

He said the windstorm wreaked havoc on the affected community and destroyed several houses, adding that the agency was conducting damage assessment exercise to ascertain the extend of destruction caused by the disaster.

Nine Killed As Rebels Attack Eastern DR Congo

Fighters from the feared Armed Democratic Forces (ADF) group killed six civilians in an attack on the town of Beni in North Kivu province in DR Congo yesterday night, according to local civil-society leader Pepin Paluku Kavota.

He told reporters on Wednesday the militants targeted a district just a kilometre from army headquarters in the city of 400,000.

The dead included a 15-year-old boy and a 90-year-old woman, said Kavota, who urged security forces “to redouble their efforts”.
