How I Forced Nigerians To Embrace Local Rice – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that a vast majority of Nigerians now eat local rice after the closure of the nation’s borders a few years ago.

Buhari praised farmers in the country for the record production of rice and other food commodities.

The President expressed delight that his agricultural policies of the administration are working to good effect.

He made this assertion while speaking in Katsina on Friday at a meeting with elected Local Government Council Chairmen in the state.

Russian Soldiers Are Not Humans – Ukrainian Military To Citizens

As the conflict between Russia and the Ukrainian nation rages on, the acting head of the Kherson region military administration, Dmytro Butriy, has warned the Ukrainian citizens to make sure that they run away from the region, while reiterating that Russian soldiers are not human beings.

Butriy announced this while disclosing that 44 settlements in the area largely occupied by Russian troops have been liberated. He, however, did not give an actual timescale but some of the Ukrainian troops had began an offensive in Kherson in May, recovering a number of villages since then.

Dozens of Moroccan firefighters in collaboration with soldiers battled Thursday to put out at least four infernos ripping through forests in the north of the kingdom, officials have confirmed.
