Barely twenty-four hours after some senators threatened to serve an impeachment notice on President Muhammadu Buhari over worsening insecurity, their counterparts in the House of Representatives, have also joined the fray saying that they have to numbers to do that.

Over 75,000 Russian Troops Killed, Injured In Ukraine – US

The Joe Biden-led administration as President of the United States has asserted that over 75,000 Russian troops have been killed or wounded during the ongoing war in Ukraine.

It informed US lawmakers this during a classified briefing on Wednesday.

‘We were briefed that over 75,000 Russians have either been killed or wounded, which is huge,” the official said, according to CNN.

‘You’ve got incredible amounts of investment in their land forces, over 80% of their land forces are bogged down, and they’re tired.”

Togo Wades-In To Resolve Mali, Ivory Coast Soldiers Dispute

High-powered delegations from Mali and Ivory Coast met yesterday with Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbe who has now taken the position of mediating a dispute over the arrest of 49 Ivorian soldiers in Bamako.

President Gnassingbe met separately with the delegations in the presidential palace in the capital Lome, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the Togolese presidency did not publish any statement on the meeting as at the time of filing this report.

The togolese president was requested to mediate the conflict by Mali’s military junta in July.
