Gov. Akeredolu Laments Over Abandoned Projects In Nigeria

The Ondo State Governor and the Chairman of the Southern Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has come out to lament ton he spate of abandoned projects in Nigeria.

Governor Akeredolu had noted that abandoning projects at this critical period in the economic life of the country is not cost-effective.

The Governor, who identified corruption, resource control, project goals, contractor selection and supervision as some of the major challenges behind abandoned projects, noted that a reasonable government must work towards achieving successful completion of projects in its state.

The Malian army announced on Sunday that they have succeded in thwarting a fresh attack which had been made on a military camp in the centre of the country, two days after a deadly suicide attack in a strategic garrison town near the capital of the country.

Armed forces “once again foiled” an attempted attack on a camp in Sevare early on Sunday, the army said on social media.
