SDP Forms Alliance With Labour Party Against Benue 2023

Ahead of the hotly contested governorship election in Benue State which comes up next year, things might not be so easy for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the Social Democratic Party, SDP has announced that they would be going into an alliance with the Labour Party.

John Enemari who is the State Chairman of SDP had also disclosed the development while speaking with journalists in Makurdi, the state capital, on Monday.

US Dollar Finally Equals Euro For The First Time In 20 Years 

The financial exchange market is in a bit of a quagmire as the exchange rate between the Euro and the United States dollar peaked at the same spot on Tuesday for the first time in 20 years.

As of Tuesday morning Greek time, one euro was measuring equal to exactly one dollar, which meant that the value of the euro has been dropped down by over 12 percent compared to its value at the beginning of the year. This means that the euro is at its weakest against the dollar since winter of 2002, twenty years ago.

Former Guber Aspirant, Tonye Princewill Dumps Rivers APC

A former governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, party Prince Tonye Princewill has become the latest member of the party to leave the party joining a queue of massive resignations which has since come since the Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu announced a Muslim running mate for the Presidential race.

Presidency Queries Lecturers For Querying Buhari Over Strike

The Presidency while reacting to the lingering strike has queried the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over their direct query to the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari over the lingering strike.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu who is part of the Presidency, had openly wondered why ASUU was holding the President by the neck over an agreement which had not signed by his government. Shehu recalled that the agreement in contention was signed in 2009 by the then Federal Government.
