The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum has hailed the presidential candidate os his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, for picking Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

Zulum claimed that Tinubu made the wisest choice by picking Shettima as his running mate.

Portugal Faces Intense Forest Fires Amid Heatwave

No fewer than 1,5000 firefighters are currently battling multiple forest fires and several bush fires in central and northern Portugal following a punishing heatwave, prompting the government to implement a ‘state of contingency’.

Musliim-Muslim Ticket: CAN Sends Strong Message To APC, Tinubu

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has declared that it was not moved by the announcement of another Muslim, Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate of the Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The umbrella Christian organisation asserted that its leaders were determined to stand their ground against every form of intimidation, including the floating of a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket by the political party.

Remove VAT On Diesel To Halt Price Hike, MAN Appeals To FG

As the cost of production in the country continues to skyrocket, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has called on the federal government to remove the value-added tax (VAT) on diesel as an instant stimulus for an immediate price reduction.

This appeal was made by Segun Ajayi-Kadir who is the director-general of MAN, in a statement yesterday.
