Lagos Police To Detain POS Operators Aiding Corrupt Officers

In a fresh development, the police command in Lagos State have cast their security net after some unscrupulous Point of Sale (POS) operators who ply their trade near stations in a bid to aid extortion and swindling.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin who is the Public Relations Officer,  made the disclosure in a Twitter post.

The police observed that those in the business specialize in hanging around police stations. Investigations found that customers are innocent Nigerians being extorted by some recalcitrant personnel.

In another of his controversial outbursts, the General Overseer of the Salvation Ministries Church, Pastor David Ibiyeomie has vowed to tear anyone to pieces and murder him if the person should insult or slander Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Worldwide.

He had first dropped the controversial bombshell in February and reiterated it again on Sunday during a sermon.

The aftermath of the unfortunate boat accident that saw over 16 missing passengers has been updated as a total of 15 bodies have been recovered from the 16-passenger boat that capsized on July 8 in the Ojo area of Lagos State.

Shettima: APC Debunks Reports Of Resignation Of Legal Adviser

Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally come out to completely debunk some reports which has been making rounds that its legal adviser has tendered in his resignation in protests over the selection of Kashim Shettima as the running mate of its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement on Monday had also described the report as as false and misleading.

The reports followed announcement by Abuja based lawyer, Daniel Bwala, that he is quitting the ruling party over the selection of Shetimmma, who like Tinubu, is a Muslim.
