US Alerts Citizens Over Increased Insecurity After Kuje Siege

The aftermath of the massive siege on the Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre on Tueday which had left some security officials dead while letting some of the inmates go free has seen the United States Embassy warning its citizens in Nigeria against travelling on the airport road in Abuja and some states in Nigeria.

The warning had come after suspected terrorists who have been identified as Boko Haram terrorists had attacked Kuje Prison and freed some inmates on Tuesday night.

Among the states which were underlisted by the embassy included Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe, Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara and riverine areas …

The Nigerian Correctional Service has finally reacted to the overnight Tuesday attack on the Custodial Centre which is situated in the Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja which threw the whole area into a state of serious turmoil.
