Ahead of next week’s primary election, a presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bola Tinubu, has claimed that without his support, President Muhammadu Buhari would have lost the 2015 election.

Speaking to APC members in Ogun State on Thursday, Tinubu stated that, ‘If not me that led the war from the front, Buhari would not have emerged as the president. He contested first, second and third times, but lost. He even said on television that he won’t contest again.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has predicted a 94 percent decrease this year in COVID-19 deaths in Africa compared to 2021.

This figure is down from a ‘catastrophically high’ average of 970 fatalities each day in 2021 to around 60 a day by the end of 2022.
