Nigeria’s Super Eagles returned to winning ways last night as the three-time African champions laboured to earn a 2-1 victory over Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in an AFCON 2023 Group A qualifier at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The performance of the Eagles who are now being managed by Portuguese Head Coach, Jose Peseiro, was far from satisfactory.

The change is coming on the heel of Thailand’s landmark 2018 legalisation of medicinal cannabis — the first such move by a country in Southeast Asia, where anti-drugs laws are notoriously harsh.

The Nigerian federal government has announced Monday June 13 as a public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who made this announcement on Thursday night also congratulated Nigerians on the occasion which commemorates the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have confirmed the arrest of no fewer than 140 suspected internet fraudsters otherwise known as ‘Yahoo boys’.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that the suspects were apprehended in separate sting operations at popular hotels, Lakers Lounge Hotel and Bar and De Butlers, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, following credible intelligence on their involvement in internet-related fraud.
