I Am ‘Proud’ Of Russian Troops In Ukraine – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday revealed that he was ‘proud’ of the action of his soldiers in Ukraine, where Moscow says it is conducting a military operation.

‘We are proud that during the special military operation our fighters act with courage, and professionalism, like real heroes,‘ Putin said in televised remarks during a Kremlin meeting with military academy graduates.

Referring to Western sanctions imposed on Russia over the intervention in Ukraine, he said “they will be overcome”.

German Regionalliga West club Sav Straelen, has announced the appointment of former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh as the new head coach. 

Oliseh, according to a report in waz.de, will pen a one-year contract with the fourth-tier club.

CVR: Online Registration Remains Suspended, INEC Clarifies

Following several weeks of complaints about hitches experienced in the online registration of voters, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday announced that the portal has been shut.

In a briefing in Abuja before the Youth Vote Count Mega Music Concert recently, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Federal Capital Territory, Yahaya Bello, provided the clarification.

Paul Haggis who is an Oscar-winning Canadian screenwriter and film director has been detained under house arrest in southern Italy on charges of sexual assault and aggravated personal injury to some individuals who had reported him to the authorities.

A leaked letter which was obtained by HURIWA have shown that some of the justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria were urged to form a trade union in response to some of their complaints of budget allocation and allowances.

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) had earlier recalled a media leak of a letter by the justices.
