INEC Announces APC’s Oyebanji Winner Of Ekiti Guber Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday morning declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Oyebanji as the winner of the Ekiti State governorship election.

The Returning Officer for the election, Prof Kayode Adebowale, and the Vice Chancellor, the University of Ibadan, who announced the results said, “Oyebanji, having scored the highest number of votes is declared the winner and returned elected as the governor-elect of Ekiti State”

2023: Zamfara Declares Work-Free Week For PVC Registration

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has declared a work-free week to enable public and civil servants to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Card (PVCs) ahead of next year’s general elections.

The Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, made this disclosure in a statement on Saturday in Gusau on Sunday morning.

‘This is to inform the general public that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has declared next week, Monday to Friday June 20 to 24, a work-free week.

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has disclosed that he and other APC presidential hopefuls had asked President Muhammadu Buhari to nominate an anointed candidate for the 2023 presidential election but were astonished when he did not.

Bola Tinubu, the ruling party’s candidate, overcame his closest rivals – former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi and Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to win the ticket.

There were rumours before the primary that the President would select his successor after meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum, which he pleaded with to let him name his favoured candidate.
