
Consider Optional Celibacy, Spain Catholics Advises Church
Spanish Catholics have expressed their desire to have Rome consider talks on the future of the priesthood including optional celibacy, the ordination of women, and also of married men, a key document which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York has shown.
The document was unveiled by the CEE Episcopal Conference that groups Spain’s leading bishops at a 600-strong gathering in Madrid yesterday.
