2023: I’m Not Lawan’s Campaign Director, Orji Kalu Clarifies

The Chief  Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has insisted that he is not the Director-General of Lawan Campaign Organisation, the team in charge of the presidential aspiration of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

The senator representing Abia North made this known while reacting to media reports which listed him as the Director-General of the organisation earlier on Saturday.

In a release sent which was made available to Africa Daily News, New York, Kalu said, ‘The list should be disregarded, as no authorisation was given to the effect of its publication.’

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdulahi Adamu has disclosed that the ruling party would sanction the national leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his recent utterances against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adamu made this disclosure while addressing journalists on Saturday in Abuja ahead of the party’s convention slated for Tuesday.

He noted that Tinubu’s apology wasn’t enough because his outburst was an insult to the president.

Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied disqualifying 10 presidential aspirants contrary to widely held insinuations.

The clarification came from the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, when he addressed newsmen at the party secretariat in Abuja.
