I Almost Scuttled PDP Presidential Primary, Wike Reveals

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike have stated that his defeat to Atiku Abubakar in the presidential primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was the will of God despite the issues which came up during the convention which he wasn’t comfortable with.

Wike went on to reveal that he almost scuttled the presidential primary after Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State was allowed to return to the podium to announce his withdrawal from the race but had to restrain himself in the interest of the party.

2023: ‘I Am Not Going Back On My Word’ – Wike Backs Up Atiku

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has declared support for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar stressing that he would not go back on his word to support any candidate of the party that emerges in the primary.

Africa Daily News, New York recalls that the governor, had on Saturday, lost the party’s presidential ticket to the former Vice President, Atiku.
