Kano Explosion: Ganduje Condoles With Victims Donates ₦14m

The Government of Kano State has announced the donation ₦14 million to the families of victims of the recent bomb explosion in the Sabon-Garri area of the State.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje made the disclosure yesterday while speaking during the courtesy visit by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

The governor claimed that his government took immediate steps to save the lives of the victims and to evacuate the remains of those who died in the explosion.

A Nigerian music executive, Mr Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, was on Monday declared the winner of the PDP primary for the Eti-Osa constituency House of Representatives ticket in the 2023 general election.

Nzeribe Sent To Prison Over Impersonation, Forgery

A former House of Representatives member and Governorship Aspirant in Anambra State, Chuma Nzeribe was on Monday in Abuja convicted in the 4- count criminal charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

The former federal lawmaker was convicted by a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory FCT in Abuja on impersonation, possession of Federal Government documents, and using same to fraudulently acquired at Maitama, Abuja.

Nzeribe could, however, not be sentenced to prison following his absence in court when the judgment on the criminal charges against him was delivered.
