How AG Idris Used IPPIS Platform For Fraud – Kperogi

Professor Farooq Kperogi, a well-known United States-based Nigerian social critic has reacted to the alleged theft of ₦80billion by the suspended Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had recently nabbed Idris for allegedly stealing and using proxies to obtain prime properties located in Kano, Lagos, Abuja, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and London, United Kingdom, at the expense of Nigeria.

As the aftermath of her arrest, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has finally released former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs Patricia Olubunmi Etteh on bail.

Her release was announced on Friday night after fulfilling bail conditions offered her by investigators working on her case.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement, said the former Speaker is to report periodically to the agency to assist with further investigations.

No fewer than five persons have been reportedly killed in a fresh attack by suspected Fulani militias on Tse Alashi Kaambe Community, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
