Fishery Imports, Exports Should Be Certified – Stakeholders

Things are looking brighter in the agricultural sector as Fishery stakeholders at the recently completed aquaculture capacity building workshop made a general call for the registration and certification of all local fishery products for export or import.

The stakeholders made the call at the end of the four-day training organised by the Norwegian Seafood Council to boost local aquaculture exports in Lagos on 11-13 May 2022.

The call among other recommendations by the stakeholders is contained in a communiqué signed by all participants at the workshop.

There was a lot of turmoil in Sokoto State today as some of the residents who have been believed to be Muslims, took the streets protesting the arrest of the suspected killers of Deborah Samuel, who was lynched on Thursday for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammed.

Reports reaching Africa Daily News, New York have shown that the protesters attacked some churches along Ahmadu Bello Way in the state capital, while demanding the release of the suspects.

Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, the Former Vice President of Nigeria as reiterated that every tweet in his official social media handles must get his approval before its publication.

As part of their efforts to curb ingenuity and illegality, the Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board (OGAMB) has inaugurated a task force to curb unlawful practices in the subsector, as part of the effort to stamp out quackery.

Mr Balogun Olaleye, the OGAMB Chairman, , made this known in Abeokuta on Friday, at a one-day workshop.
