2022 Session Of Prison Audit Exercise Kicked Off By NHRC

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday commenced the 2022 Correctional Center Audit exercise to ascertain compliance in inmates with the most optimun international practices.

The Chairperson of the Commission Dr. Salamatu Suleiman led the Commission’s delegation to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) where the event took place.

Two former staff of First Marina Trust Ltd met their waterloo on Thursday when they were re-arraigned before a Federal High court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged Identity theft and Cyber Crime.

The defendants, Adeyemi Oluwaseun and Suleiman Yusuf, are standing trial on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy to commit identity theft, impersonation and Cybercrime.

Tumultous conditions on Wednesday has seen the Nigerian Naira crashing and depreciating at the Investors and Exporters window, exchanging at ₦418.75 to the dollar, a 0.12 per cent depreciation, which was weaker than ₦418.25 traded on Tuesday.
