2023: Why APC Should Zone It’s Ticket To S’West – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has categorically stated that the presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) should be zoned to the south and further micro-zoned to the South West.

He asserted that while presidential aspirants from the south have also indicated interest, for fairness and equity, the ticket should be ceded to the south.

Sanwo-Olu stated this in Abuja while speaking to newsmen after submitting his completed governorship form, said for justice and equity that the presidential ticket of the party should be zoned to the south.

2023: Reps Set To Amend Electoral Bill On Wednesday

The members of the Nigerian House of Representatives will hold an emergency plenary today to concur the decision of the Senate on the electoral bill following yesterday’s amendment by the red chambers. 

Yahaya Danzaria, Acting Clerk, House of Representatives, disclosed this in a statement on on Tuesday.

No fewer than sixty Zimbabweans have been killed by elephants so far this year, as a conservation success story has led to increased conflict with humans, the government spokesman has disclosed. 

Africa Daily News, New York reports that with about 100,000 elephants, Zimbabwe has the world’s second-largest population after Botswana and about one-quarter of the elephants in all of Africa.
