Naira 'Resurrects' At ₦429.62 To Dollar At Investors' Window

US Dollar Soars As Nigerian Naira Crashes, Closes At 419

Monday saw the Nigerian Naira depreciating at the Investors and Exporters window while exchanging at ₦419 to the dollar, a 0.48 per cent depreciation, weaker than ₦417 it traded on Friday.

Reports have shown that the open indicative rate closed at ₦419 to the dollar on Monday.

An exchange rate of ₦423.00 to the dollar was the highest rate recorded within the day’s trading before it settled at ₦419.00.

74 Year Old Nabbed For Alleged Sexual Abuse Of Minor

In his waterloo, a 74-year-old man, Bassey Inyang, was nabbed and handed over to the police by his community for alleged sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl in Calabar.

The suspect, who lives at 14 Waddell Street, Mbukpa in Calabar, was arrested by men of the Anti-Cult and Kidnapping Squad of the Cross River Police Command following an alarm raised by members of the community.

Long Queues Spotted In Abuja As Fuel Scarcity Hits FCT

Long queues have been notably spotted in Abuja as most petrol stations have been shut down and put out of service following scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

Reports from the petrol supply situation in Wuse, Gwarimpa, Wuye and Kubwa areas of Abuja have shown that long queues had resurfaced with most fueling stations not selling to motorists.
