IPOB Using Propaganda To Smear Nigerian Army – Spokesperson

The Nigerian Army have accused members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of using pictures of fake soldiers arrested by Nigerian army troops recently to malign the institution and cast aspersions on them.

The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York.

Nwachukwu stated that one Solomon Okafor of Radio Biafra London had been peddling malicious disinformation and falsehood on social media, alleging complicity by troops in a fictitious case of the kidnapping of a family of 10 in Kaduna State.…

Kenya Increases Minimum Wage As Inflation Stings

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta have announced a 12% increase in the minimum wage as the East African country confronts a surge in the cost of living.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that inflation in Kenya jumped to a seven-month high in April, majorly as a result of skyrocketing fuel and food prices, according to official figures.

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has identified the lack of unity and love as the key problems affecting the growth of the country, insisting that Nigerians must embrace unity for the country to move forward. 

The vice president made this assertion in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during the wedding of the daughter of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

He called on the newlywed to love themselves as Christ loved the church.
