President Muhammadu Buhari has claimed that Boko Haram and other terrorist groups are now fading adding that ‘victory is within sight’. 

The president, however, assured Nigerians that the ongoing battle being waged against terrorists, who falsely masquerade under the name of Islam is now in its final stages and would soon become history.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that President gave the assurance in his Sallah message to Nigerians as the Holy month of Ramadan reaches its end and Muslims will officially mark the Eid-el-Fitr on Monday.

Kegites Conduct Free Medical Outreach For Inmates At Kuje Prison

The Kegites Club International, Abuja Council of Fellowsis (ACOF) Chapter, on Sunday offered free medical outreach to inmates at the Kuje Correctional Service to commemorate the 2022 Workers’ Day Celebration.

 

The medical intervention included: screening and treatment for malaria and typhoid fevers, peptic ulcer, urinary tract infection, blood pressure, Hepatitis B, among others.

The Chairman of the club, John Bosco, said the free medical outreach was not only aimed at commemorating the day for FCT workers but to improve the health condition of the inmates.

The Nigerian Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association has decried the late payment of local seafarers salaries by their employers.

Kano Agro Project Recruits 220 Animal Health Workers

Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project, KSADP, has conducted training for 220 Community Animal Health Workers, engaged by the project to render veterinary services across the state.

This is contained in a statement released by the project’s communications specialist Ameen Yassar on Saturday in Kano.

The newly recruited workers were trained by KSADP with funding from the Islamic Development Bank and Lives and Livelihood Funds, LLF.
