Popular human rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, SAN has declared that the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan cannot contest the 2023 presidential election by 137 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended). 

He made this declaration on Wednesday.

United Nations’ Secretary-General, António Guterres has opened up about the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine while opining that the war will come to an end when the Russian Federation decides to end it and when there is a good  possibility of a serious political agreement which can only come after a ceasefire.

The National Commission for Persons with Disability (NCPWD) and other stakeholders on Wednesday converge on Abuja to validate the National Accessibility Standard Code to make movements of persons with disability into facilities easy.

The Executive Secretary of NCPWD, Mr James Lalu, in his address at the meeting said the commitment of the commission to the implementation of the National Accessibility Standard Code document was total.
