Productive Ventures Can End Insecurity In Nigeria – Pam

The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev. Yakubu Pam, says insecurity in Nigeria would come to an end if Nigerians engage in productive ventures.

Pam made this disclosure on Saturday at the” Nzem Berom Cultural Festival” in Abuja.

The NCPC Boss, who was the Chairman of the Occasion, further challenged Nigerians to rise up to the occasion and embrace discipline which is the hallmark of success.

The President of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso has put out an announcement on Friday that he had decreed a state of emergency for two months in three provinces with the highest registered levels of violence due to drug trafficking in the Country.

“I have declared a state of exception in the (coastal) provinces of Guayas, Manabi, and Esmeraldas, effective from midnight tonight,” he said in a speech broadcast by state media.

2022 UTME: Notification Slips Now Available For Printing – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that all prospective candidates who registered for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) should start printing their 2022 UTME notification slips from Saturday.

This announcement was put out by JAMB’s Director of Information and Technology Services, Mr Fabian Okoro, via a statement released to JAMBULLETIN ahead of this year’s exercise.

According to the statement, the 2022 UTME notification slip is available for printing by all candidates who registered for the examination scheduled to hold from May 6 to 14.

The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Mr Danladi Umar, has stated that he will be appealing the judgment of the Federal High Court which was delivered by Honourable Justice Inyang Ekwo on Tuesday, 26th April 2022 related to the assault charges that were slammed on him.

Mr Danladi Umar and his lead counsel, Barrister Sunday Edward stated that they are of the firm view that the original subject matter of the petition which had been submitted to the Senate does not actually form part of the matters the Senate is constitutionally empowered to investigate.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mike Ozekhome has rubbished claims that the former President Goodluck Jonathan cannot contest the 2023 election despite having completed Umaru Yar’Adua’s tenure and being elected in 2011.

Ozekhome made this argument in a long essay, a reply of sorts to his colleague, Femi Falana, who had argued that Jonathan was not qualified.

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN) has obtained requisite regulatory approvals to acquire a 71.69 percent stake in Honeywell Flour Mills Plc (HFMP), formerly a portfolio company of Honeywell Group.

The company made this known in a statement by its Corporate Communications Officer, Mrs Modupe Thani, on Saturday in Lagos.

According to the statement, the company also acquired a 5.06 per cent stake in HFMP held by First Bank of Nigeria Limited.
