How We Freed APC From ‘Yahoo Yahoo Governors’ – Akeredolu

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has explained how the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was rescued from the vice grip of ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ governors from its leadership positions. 

Akerodolu explained that they were able to do this by ensuring the removal of Governor Mai Mala Buni  of Yobe State as chairman of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) earlier in the week.

He alleged that some ‘Yahoo Yahoo governors’ had backed  Buni to circumvent the will of party members but noted that ‘true’ APC governors were determined to see the party ‘through these patchy parts at all cost.’

NBA Lambastes Umahi Over Response To Court Ruling

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Wednesday slammed Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi over his comments and his blunt refusal to obey a court order which has asked him to vacate office as governor of the State.

In a statement by NBA President, Olumide Akpata which was sighted by Africa Daily News, New York described Umahi’s response as ‘impunity of the highest order and executive rascality taken too far.’
