2023: PDP Presidential, Guber Apirants To Pay ₦40m, ₦21m

Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2023 general elections.

The party fixed the presidential and governorship Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at ₦40 million and ₦21 million, respectively.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, made this disclosure while briefing journalists at the end of 95th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, on Wednesday at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

Military To Conduct Live Shooting Exercise In Jibia-Katsina

The 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Katsina, has called on residents to steer clear from the 35 Battalion Range, located in Natsinta village, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State as it prepares to conduct military drills.

The troops of 3 Brigade revealed that it would be conducting a live ammunition shooting exercise in the area, on Friday, March 18, 2022.

Denmark has unveiled plans that would ensure that future generations are tobacco-free, and is presently considering banning the sale of cigarettes and other nicotine products to anyone born after 2010.

Speaking on Wednesday, Health Minister Magnus Heunicke said;  ‘Our hope is that all people born in 2010 and later will never start smoking or using nicotine-based products’.

Another American journalist whose name was given as Pierre Zakrzewski was on Wednesday killed in Ukraine after the vehicle in which he was travelling with a Ukrainian journalist was struck by incoming fire.

Zakrzewski, who is a cameraman for Fox News reportedly died alongside Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra ‘Sasha’ Kuvshynova.

Zakrzewski, 55, was reporting with fellow Fox News journalist, Benjamin Hall, yesterday when they came under attack near the capital Kyiv, Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said in a note to staff.
