UK’s PM Warns ‘Barbaric’ Russia Over Ukraine Chemical Arms

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has stated that the ‘barbaric’ Russian regime was carrying out what he described as ‘indulging in a tried-and-tested ruse’ as it lays the ground for the possible use of chemical weapons in Ukraine.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday in an interview with Sky News which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York, he said; ‘The stuff which you are hearing about chemical weapons is straight out of the Russian playbook,’ echoing US warnings that President Vladimir Putin could be set on a horrifying escalation.

Anxiety As Gunmen Kill Poultry Farmer in Ekiti

The residents of Ago Aduloju, a farmstead in Ado Ekiti metropolis have been gripped by palpable fear following the report that suspected gunmen killed a poultry farmer who was in his farm.

A resident of the area located on Ado-Ijan road Ado Ekiti, who spoke to newsmen on Thursday revealed that the incident occurred on Wednesday.

The source further narrated that the farmer had just rounded off work on his poultry farm and entered his vehicle to return home when the evil men struck.

He added that the deceased was shot in the head while the killers fled.

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has explained how the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was rescued from the vice grip of ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ governors from its leadership positions. 

Akerodolu explained that they were able to do this by ensuring the removal of Governor Mai Mala Buni  of Yobe State as chairman of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) earlier in the week.
