Drug Deal: Don’t Send Me To Jail – Abba Kyari Begs Court

Suspended former head of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Intelligence Response Team, IRT, Abba Kyari, on Monday pleaded with an Abuja Federal High Court not to remand him in prison custody following his arraignment.

Kyari made the appeal through his lawyer, Kanu Agabi, who prayed the court to allow him to remain in the custody of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, pending the hearing and determination of his fresh application for bail which has now been instituted.

Ukraine: We Have Credible Reports Of War Crimes – US Govt

US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken has disclosed that there are ‘very credible reports of deliberate attacks’ on civilians in Ukraine by Russian soldiers and the US would take action at the appropriate time.

Blinken made this disclosure in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York.

According to him, the attacks would be considered a war crime and would not go unpunished.

Blinken also noted that the US has begun documenting evidence to determine whether or not war crimes have been committed against Ukrainian civilians.

FG Frowns At Enlistment Of Nigerians As Fighters In Ukraine

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday disclosed that it will not tolerate the recruitment of Nigerians as foreign mercenaries in Ukraine.

This was made known in a statement signed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Francisca Omayuli which was sighted by Africa Daily News, New York, she said the government was in talks with Ukrainian counterparts to forestall such an occurrence.
