US Dispatches Troop Reinforcements Near Poland-Ukraine Border

Hundreds of US paratroopers landed at a Polish airport near the Ukrainian border yesterday as part of a deployment of several thousand others to bolster NATO’s eastern flank as tensions with Russia continue to build up.

On Thursday morning, a number of soldiers were sighted leaving a Boeing C-17 military transport plane and boarding buses at Rzeszow Airport, located around 100 kilometres (62 miles) from the border with Ukraine.

Another group of soldiers, around a dozen, boarded two Black Hawk helicopters which was also sighted taking off.
