How Nigeria’s GDP Grew By 3.98% In 2021 Q4 – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday revealed that Nigeria’s GDP grew by 3.98% in Q4 2021, sustaining a positive trajectory over the period.

A report by the NBS which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York on Thursday read; ‘Nigeria Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 3.98%(year-on-year) in real terms in the fourth quarter of 2021, showing a sustained positive growth for the fifth quarter since the recession witnessed in 2020 when output contracted by -6.10% and -3.62% in Q2 and Q3 of 2020 under the COVID pandemic. The speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has asserted that the vote of every member of the House must count as the parliament prepares to hold votes on bills that seeks to amend the 1999 Constitution.

Hundreds of US paratroopers landed at a Polish airport near the Ukrainian border yesterday as part of a deployment of several thousand others to bolster NATO’s eastern flank as tensions with Russia continue to build up.

On Thursday morning, a number of soldiers were sighted leaving a Boeing C-17 military transport plane and boarding buses at Rzeszow Airport, located around 100 kilometres (62 miles) from the border with Ukraine.
