There could some fresh twist as President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) have asked the Court of Appeal in Abuja to dismiss the appeal seeking to nullify his election and swear in Abubakar Atiku as President.

The United Nations has disclosed that at least $1.1 billion would be needed this year to undertake humanitarian assistance in the troubled north-east Nigeria following the devastating effects of terrorists in the region.

According to the United Nations, an estimated 8.4 million people will require humanitarian assistance in north-east Nigeria in 2022, lamenting that the total number of those displaced in the 12 years crisis in the geopolitical zone was rising to over 2.2 million.

The Federal House of Representatives on Wednesday called for the declaration of a national emergency on ritual killings across the country following recent ugly trends.

The UN’s top court has ordered Uganda to immediately commence the payment of $325 million by the Democratic Republic of Congo over a brutal war which happened two decades ago.
