2023: Nigeria Is Bleeding, PDP Has To Take Over, Wike Insists

Ahead of the 2023 Presidential election, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Monday described Nigeria as a country that is bleeding.

While speaking in Kaduna on Monday, Wike called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to unite and take over power in 2023 from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Wike’s host and former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, told Wike and his entourage that the people of Nigeria would be disappointed in the PDP if they don’t unite and take over power.

Former Governor of Lagos State and 2023 Presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated that his journey to the United Kingdom was not for medical reasons as was widely speculated.

Africa Daily News, New York had earlier reported that the national leader of the ruling party returned to Nigeria on Sunday after 10 days in the UK.

A terse statement on his social media accounts Monday morning informed the public that the trip was about 2023 election.

It said the presidential aspirant had ‘consultations with Nigerians and other stakeholders in the diaspora’.
