Apex Igbo socio-cultural body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has formally announced the formation of a non-partisan political action committee to push for the realisation of the lofty dream of producing a President of Igbo President.

For the second time in less than a month, gunmen on Friday attacked the military camp in Allawa in Rafi Local Government area of Niger State where they reportedly carted away a vehicle belonging to the military.

Alleged kidnap kingpin, Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, yesterday declared that he was innocent of the charges leveled against him before the Lagos State Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja.

Evans, who is currently facing four counts of kidnapping and unlawful possession of firearms, submitted that he was not a criminal but was a legitimate business man who was into haulage and had about 30 workers on his payroll.
