UAE To Lift Entry Ban On Travellers From Nigeria From Jan 29

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed it has lifted the earlier ban on Nigeria and 11 other African countries disclosing that it will resume passenger flights from from Saturday, January 29th.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that the country’s National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) made this announcement in a Twitter update on Friday morning.

Ethiopia, Tanzania, Lesotho, Eswatini, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana and the Republic of Congo are the other affected countries.

Ikoyi Building: No Victim Died During Operation – LASEMA

The Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Oluwafemi Oke-Osayintolu, yesterday confirmed that victims of the 21-storey building who collapsed on Gerrard Road, in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State did not die during rescue operations as erroneously being peddled in some quarters.

Oke-Osanyintolu stated this during the continuation of the coroner inquest into the building collapse presided over by Chief Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe.
