2023 Presidency: Why SE Should Have A Chance – Northern Group

A coalition of northern groups under the aegis of Arewa Concerned Civil Society Organisations of Nigeria has declared total support of the calls to zone the 2023 presidency ticket to the South-East in the interest of equity, fairness and justice.

According to the Northern group, zoning the presidency to the South-East will automatically quell the agitations for secession by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other secessionist groups and also promote national unity and cohesion.

Death Toll In Kenya Bus Accident Climbs To 31

Divers recovered seven more bodies Sunday from a bus that was swept off a bridge by a flooding river in Kenya, bringing the death toll from the tragedy to over 30.

The bus was taking a church choir and other travellers to a wedding in Kitui County on Saturday when it keeled over and sank beneath fast-flowing waters as the driver tried to navigate a submerged bridge.

Sequel to the recent approval of the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for commercial activities, Nigeria’s leading airline, Air Peace, has announced the commencement of scheduled flights into the airport on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

The Spokesman of the Airline, Stanley Olisa, disclosed that Anambra people can now heave a sigh of relief as they can now fly directly from Lagos and Abuja into the Umueri where the airport is located, adding that the airline would kick-off with four flights per week.
