ECOWAS Court Condemns Countries’ Low Compliance

The ECOWAS Court has decried the shun of a key protocol by member states as well as the low rate of compliance with judgments.

Out of 17 countries in the region, only Burkina Faso, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Nigeria and Togo have appointed national authorities entrusted with the responsibility of enforcing judgments.

Elohor Ovadje, an Information Officer, made this known in a statement on Monday after the just-concluded 9-day external session in Abidjan, capital of Cote d’Ivoire.

A Federal High Court, Abuja, will today entertain the suit filed by the leadership of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) asking for a referendum for Biafra agitators.

A Manhattan federal judge has ruled that Samson Siasia’s lawsuit challenging a bribery conviction and coaching ban handed down by FIFA.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of two houses in Abuja and two cars traced to the convicted cybercriminal, Obinwanne George Okeke also known as Invictus Obi.
