President Muhammadu Buhari’s assistant on social media Lauretta Onochie has opened up on why her principal will not release Nnamdi Kanu.

According to her, the President would not release the secessionist leader because of the killing of notable and average Nigerians in the South-East region by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Onochie accused the secessionist leader of having led to the death of many Nigerians including Chike Akunyili, husband of a former Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, late Prof Dora Akunyili.

The crisis rocking the Plateau Assembly took a new twist on Monday as the embattled factional Speaker, Abok Ayuba, was taken away by in a police van from the assembly complex.

As he was being led away by a police team led by the Commissioner of Police in the state,Edward Egbuka, Ayuba in a brief chat with journalists said he did not know whether he was arrested or not.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has dismissed insinuations that he supports RUGA by applying for funds meant to implement the policy being imposed on Nigerians by the Federal Government.

The Governor insisted that the state is only working in line with the recommendations as contained in the National Livestock Transformation Plan, NLTP document as approved by the National Economic Council, NEC to enhance ranching and not for RUGA settlements.
