Anambra: Soludo Sweeps Six LGAs Declared By INEC

Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra election has won six Local Government Areas, in the results declared by INEC.

He won Anaocha, Aguata, Njikoka, Awka South, Onitsha South and Enugu Anambra East.

Since there are 21 LGAs in Anambra, results from 15 LGAs are still being awaited.

Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Andy Uba of the APC are neck and neck in the race for second.

A massive fireball ignited by a fuel tanker explosion killed 98 people in Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown, the West African country’s disaster management agency disclosed on Saturday.

#AnambraDecides: Aguata Witnesses Impressive Turnout

There was a large turnout of voters at the Amaesi Ward of Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra at the Saturday Governorship election in the state.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that voters came out as early as 7.30 am until the arrival of electoral officers by 8.35 a.m at the ward.

The ward is the ancestral home of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo.
