The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has lamented that inmates in the facilities of the Nigerian Correctional Service feed better than corps members, this was coming even as the Ministry of Interior revealed that prisoners would be fed with ₦1,000 naira each daily in 2022.

The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, who stated this when he appeared before the House Committee on Youth Development for budget defence on Wednesday, said corps members were served a meal worth ₦217,

He, therefore, urged the House of Representatives to raise the allocation for feeding in the scheme’s budget for 2022.…

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Sunday revealed that it has frustrated drug traffickers’ desperate attempts to export large kilogrammes of cocaine, methamphetamine and cannabis in three different states of the country over the last week.

NDLEA’s spokesperson Femi Babafemi made this disclosure in a statement which was sighted by Africa Daily News, New York on Sunday.
