What I Told Kanu In DSS Custody – Orji Kalu

The Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Monday revealed what he discussed with Nnamdi Kanu when he visited the IPOB leader in the custody of the Department of State Services (IPOB).

Kalu, in a statement personally signed by him which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York, revealed that the IPOB leader was in good health and under proper care.

The former governor of Abia State further disclosed that he spoke with Kanu as a brother and told him the need to consider the consequences of certain actions that he would be taking.

Jos Prison Attack: Police Hint Of Inmates Escape

Some prisoners bolted away from Jos Correctional Centre on Sunday when it came under attack by gunmen, the police said.

In a statement, ASP Ubah Ogaba, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said eight of the jail breakers were re-arrested.

But he added that “the search for other escaped inmates continues’.

The Nigerian Correctional Service has not given an update on the attack after it said the attackers had been subdued and were holed up at the centre.
