Mr Abok Ayuba, the embattled Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, purportedly impeached by eight lawmakers has debunked insinuation that he had resigned from his position.

Africa  recalls that the Sanda-led faction in the Plateau State House of Assembly had during their sitting on Thursday, brought a resignation letter purportedly from Abok.

Sanda, who brandished the resignation letter before lawmakers loyal to him at their sitting on Thursday, claimed that with Abok’s resignation, the leadership crisis had been put to rest in the State Assembly over who should be recognised as the authentic Speaker.
