The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday, raised the alarm that many of the corps members in the country are drug addicts.

Its Ondo state Coordinator, Mrs Victoria Ani raised the alarm at the 2021 Corps employers workshop in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

The workshop’s theme was ‘Optimising the NYSC/ Corps employers Partnership for National Development in the context of the New Normal.

Ani expressed worries over the rate at which Corps members were involved in drug abuse in the country.

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Wednesday asserted that trying to put a stop to the escalating population explosion in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) may not be possible as it is a function of urbanisation.
