NDLEA Proposes ₦38 Billion Budget For 2022

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has submitted a budget proposal of ₦38,152,288,851.00 for 2022 to the National Assembly.

The budget estimate includes a Recurrent Personnel Cost of ₦10,499, 961,097 and a Recurrent Overhead of ₦998,973, 302, while the capital expenditure is pegged at ₦26,662,354,452.

The Chief Executive, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig-General Mohammed Buba Marwa who presented the budget to the House of Representatives Committee on Narcotic Drugs, expressed gratitude to the House for their support.

Anambra Govt Alleges Plot To Arrest Officials

Anambra State Government has raised the alarm over alleged plot to arrest its officials on trumped-up charges, as a plot to weaken the chances of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Saturday’s election.

A press release by the Anambra State government, signed by the commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C. Don Adinuba said the plot was being hatched by an unnamed political party.

He said some actors in the unnamed political party planned to use instrument of state to carry out their plot, even without the knowledge of the security chiefs in the State.

China’s Nuclear Arsenal Expansion Too Fast – Pentagon

China is expanding its nuclear arsenal much more quickly than anticipated, narrowing the gap with the United States, the Pentagon disclosed in a report published Wednesday.

Northern Elders Reject Special Treatment, Trial for Kanu

PanArewa socio-political group, Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has rejected calls for special treatment and trial for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
