The Nigerian Army has dismissed insinuations that the current exercise in the South East is targeted at militarily occupying the region.

Nigerian Army spokesman, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, gave this clarification in a briefing on Monday at the AHQ Conference Room in Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s assistant on social media Lauretta Onochie has opened up on why her principal will not release Nnamdi Kanu.

According to her, the President would not release the secessionist leader because of the killing of notable and average Nigerians in the South-East region by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

EFCC Quizzes Obi Cubana, Alleges Money Laundering, Tax Fraud

Socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for money laundering.

The Anambra-born club owner, who arrived the headquarters of the EFCC at Jabi, Abuja, around noon on Monday, was still at the commission office as of 10.11pm.
