Biafra: Court To Hear CNG’s Case Demanding Referendum

A Federal High Court, Abuja, will today entertain the suit filed by the leadership of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) asking for a referendum for Biafra agitators.

Africa Daily News, New York recalls that in June, the coalition had sued the National Assembly praying the court to force the defendants to suspend the ongoing constitutional review exercise.

Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the spokesman of the CNG, explained that a judge had been assigned to hear the suit.

A Manhattan federal judge has ruled that Samson Siasia’s lawsuit challenging a bribery conviction and coaching ban handed down by FIFA.

The court ruled that the swiss dispute has no jurisdictional ties to New York, therefore struck it out.

United States (U.S.) District Judge, Alvin K. Hellerstein, axed the August 2 complaint filed by Samson Siasia, a U.S. citizen and former Nigerian national team head coach. A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of two houses in Abuja and two cars traced to the convicted cybercriminal, Obinwanne George Okeke also known as Invictus Obi.
