The conservative-majority US Supreme Court hears challenges on Monday to the most restrictive law passed since abortion was made a constitutional right nearly 50 years ago — a Texas bill that bans a woman from terminating a pregnancy after six weeks.

A 21-storey building has collapsed in Ikoyi area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria with seven people dead so far and many still trapped.

Seven bodies have been evacuated from the debris of the collapsed 21-storey building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has dismissed reports making the rounds that bandits from Zamfara and Katsina states were relocating to Kano State.

The report alleged that the bandits, escaping the onslaught of security forces, were believed to have infiltrated Kano state through some communities in Shanono, Gwarzo and Kabo local government areas of the state, where they are involved in illegal mining.
