Real Reason Why We Introduced TSA, Buhari Opens Up

President Muhammadu Buhari has explained why he activated the Treasury Single Account (TSA) when he came on board as President.

According to the President, the TSA was put in place to address irregularities, ensure accountability, curb the incessant number of accounts and enable the tracking of all government revenues.

Buhari made this disclosure on Tuesday when he spoke at the third National Summit on Diminishing Corruption in the Public Sector.

‘When we came into government, we found out that some institutions had hundreds of accounts. How can the Accountant General trace them?

Lagos Govt Releases White Paper On #EndSARS Report

The Lagos State Government has made public the White Paper on the #EndSARS Panel of Inquiry report which was submitted to it a fortnight ago.

In the report, the state government stated that of the 32 recommendations by the panel, it has accepted 11, accepted 6 modifications, and rejected one.

The document also noted that 14 of the recommendations fall outside the powers of the state and will be forwarded to the Federal Government for consideration.

Details of what the recommendations are, are, however, yet to clear.

Some prisoners bolted away from Jos Correctional Centre on Sunday when it came under attack by gunmen, the police said.

In a statement, ASP Ubah Ogaba, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said eight of the jail breakers were re-arrested.
