Oyo NSCDC Denies Involvement In Controversial NUJ Election

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State command has distanced itself from a purported election that was alleged to have been organised by members of Correspondent’s chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state.

Our correspondent gathered that some members of the union had earlier kicked against the election.

The union members argued that it was illegal for the committee to disqualify one of the contestants, noting that the committee had been compromised.

They also said it was illegal for the committee to disenfranchise some qualified members.
