The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN on Saturday, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari has been scheduled to formally unveil the e-Naira on Monday.

Africa Daily News, New York recalls that the digital currency was billed to be unveiled on October 1 but was shifted due to activities on Independence Day.

A statement issued on Saturday by CBN’s Director of Corporate Communications, Osita Nwanisobi, stated that the e-Naira is now expected to be activated on Monday by the president.

The thirty-six House of Assembly Speakers have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits as terrorists and enemies of the nation.

The Sokoto State Government has called on the Federal Government to halt its telecoms blockade on 14 local government areas of the state citing several reasons.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that the blockade had been imposed in September as part of efforts to clamp down on bandits operating in the North-West.
